This month just came on fast, does anyone else feel that way? We start back to school in the middle of August, so we are already 2/3 of the way through our summer. Now, I’m trying to fit in as much summer fun as I can before we gear up for back to school season.
I have to admit though it’s now the point that I’m ready for school to start and a consistent routine. My kids are still young enough that they really LOVE school. My daughter ask almost daily when her school starts, she’s in preschool and for her she thinks it’s so fun that she’s anxious to get back to school. My son loves it too and misses his friends so he is also ready. Soon we will be stocking up on school supplies, buying uniforms, and packing lunches but for now I’m going to soak up a little more summer fun.
That means a few simple recipes on the menu too.

Monday- My family loves breakfast for dinner and yours probably does too, so these Buttermilk Pancakes with Blueberry Sauce will be a hit!
Tuesday- Start the morning with Mocha Cake Donuts, then for dinner fire up the grill! Make these Maple Glazed Ribs and pair them with Grilled Potatoes & Beans.
Wednesday- This Bruschetta Chicken with Spaghetti Squash is a nice light meal. Then, make a delicious dessert with Strawberry Pie.
Thursday- On Thursday make it easy with Slow Cooker Cinnamon Chicken & Sweet Potatoes.
Friday- Make it an easy dinner night with Taco Salad. Then, for dessert enjoy this Peach Crumb Cobbler.
Now, what is on your menu this month? Lots of grilling? I know that we have been getting as much use out of the grill as possible because here in Oklahoma…it’s hot!
