Happy Spring! I hope you all had a great Easter. I know many of you ended up with quite a snowfall these last few weeks, hopefully the sun is coming out and the spring is peeking in where you are.
It sure is here. That means for us allergy season is also in full bloom. As much as I love the spring, my allergies don’t love it at all! It’s such a bittersweet season for me. I want to be outside but after a while, my eyes and nose just can’t take it anymore.
In the meantime though, I soak up as much as I can. It means here in Oklahoma, we are also cleaning out our storm shelter. We live right in tornado alley, so that’s always the first thing on our list this time of year. Last year, it seems we got the bulk of the tornadoes in August. That hasn’t happened as far as I remember.
Honestly, I don’t like them regardless, they scare me even more now as I’m an adult than as a kid. It’s different when they literally come over your house and it sounds like a freight train running over you.
Now, let’s move on to food. Because of course talking about tornadoes makes you hungry, right? Maybe not?
