It's May! That means summer is almost here, are you ready for it?
I am but then I'm not too. How can this be? My kids will be out of school in just a couple week. Here in Oklahoma, they get out in the middle of May for the summer.

I have absolutely no plans at all. This may be the first summer that I have truly not planned a thing. I may regret that soon too as soon as I start hearing, "I'm bored."
We do have passes to the pool, plus one in our backyard, so I sure hope they enjoy swimming because we will be doing a lot of that. I'm actually looking forward to a less planned season.
We have had so many things to do this past school year, that we all could use some slow down. I'm looking forward to nights on the back patio, eating outside, swimming in the pool, and just enjoying this precious time we have together.
I'm not looking forward to mosquitos. Yep, we get LOTS of them here, I'm pretty sure we have thousands. We have bug spray and all sorts of things on hand at all times to hopefully prevent some of them.

We still do love the summertime. It's gone from one of my least favorite times of year to my most favorite time of year. It's that slowdown, I just love it.
That also means I'm adding some tasty grilled recipes and desserts to the menu. Are you? It's time to fire up the grill plus enjoy all that fresh produce in delicious desserts.
