Capture the taste of summer with this classic southern dessert, made simple by our delicious Yellow Cake Mix. You may swap out any flavor canned fruit for any other, as long as your total weight of canned fruit is 40oz.

1 (20 oz can) crushed pineapple

1 (20 oz can) peaches OR flavored pie filling of choice

1 tsp cinnamon

1 box Better Batter Yellow Cake Mix

1 stick butter or dairy free margarine, melted

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9×13 pan.

Pour undrained pineapple and peaches or pie filling into pan. Sprinkle cinnamon over top. Stir to combine.

Dump dry yellow cake mix over top of fruit mixture. Pour melted butter or margarine over the top of the mix.

Bake for 45 minutes to an hour or until golden brown in places. This mixture will look soupy or undercooked in places – this is good!

Allow to cool for abotu 5-10 minutes before serving. Serve warm as is or with ice cream as desired.

Variation – peach praline… substitute two cans peaches for all of the pineapple and peaches above. Add 1 c of finely chopped nuts to the top of the cake mix before adding the butter. Bake as directed.
