This one is almost too easy - a great idea for Halloween! Servings 6 Prep Time 5 Cook Time 5

Ingredients

6 slices of gluten free bread, commercial or homemade 3 slices of cheese or df sub* (we like Follow Your Heart Gouda style) 3 tbsp butter or df margarine, softened 1/8 - 1/2 tsp minced garlic Black beans, optional, for eyes, rinsed

Instructions

In a small bowl, blend together the garlic and margarine - you may want to use more or less garlic depending on taste. Spread the bread evenly with the garlic butter. Cut the bread evenly into halves or thirds - you want the bread to be about 2 inches wide and longer than it is wide, so total strips may vary. Set aside on a baking tray. Stack the cheese and cut it into strips - for best appearance make sure it's not too even - this works best with a combo of thin strips, thick strips, and some that are on the diagonal. Lay the cheese on the bread, in a criss cross pattern, leaving blank space between the strips, to form 'mummy wrappings' Broil for a minute or so, or just until the cheese melts and bubbles. Watch it carefully! Remove from the broiler and place 2 black bean 'eyes' on each strip of bread and serve.
