Many of the commercially available mixes out there contain gluten or some form of monosodium glutamate, which may not contain gluten but certainly isn’t good for you. In addition, they tend to be expensive. This handy fajita seasoning mix is lower in sodium, can be made in bulk, and can be stored for up to a year.


3 Tbsp. Better Batter Gluten Free Flour
2 Tbsp. chili powder
1 Tbsp. salt
1 Tbsp. paprika
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. tumeric
2 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp. cumin
zest of one lime, green part only!, grated with a microplane grater

Combine all of the ingredients in a food processor or blender. Blend well. Pour into small glass or plastic container, seal tightly and store in a cool, dry place. Makes the equivalent of 3 packets of commercial or purchased Fajita Seasoning Mix.
