Sometimes you just want a commercial, delivery style pizza. This pizza fits the bill – no fancy toppings, no gourmet sauces, and no odd textures. The simplest of our pizza recipes, this can be used as a base to top with anything you like. This makes one 12 inch regular crust or 14 inch thin crust pizza.

2 cups warm water
1 Tbsp yeast (or 1 package)
1 Tbsp sugar
2 1/2 cups Better Batter Gluten Free Flour
1/2 cup cornmeal
1/2 tsp salt
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 or 2 cups of gf marinara, pizza, or tomato sauce
12 ounces shredded mozzarella
1-2 cups any topping you desire, such as pepperoni (optional)

Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line cookie sheet/baking stone with parchment paper or oil a pizza stone.

In the bowl of your electric mixer, combine the water, yeast and sugar, stirring to dissolve. Let sit 5 minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients and beat at high speed for 3 minutes.

Spread batter onto prepared pan , spreading with wet hands to make a 12 or 14 inch pizza. Bake for ten to fifteen minutes, or until crust is slightly puffed and light brown.

Top crusts with marinara sauce, then scatter cheese over the top of pizza. Top if desired, and place back into the oven – cook an additional 10-15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and starts to lightly brown.
