Halloween is all about the candy (at least for most kids) and while it’s fun to go trick or treating, it can be a real drag when half of what you bring home is unsafe, due to allergens. In our house we’ve got dairy, gluten, and peanut/tree nut allergens, so three quarters of what gets collected ends up being given away.
If you’re like us, you believe in the importance of providing some fun alternatives to eat. I’ve gathered up a three of my favorite ‘clone’ recipes for Twizzlers, Twix, and KitKat Bars. See the descriptions for advice on substituting any additional allergen free ingredients (if not already listed in the recipe). Missing something? Feel free to request a clone recipe in the comments section below!
